Questions about port forwarding

Hello all,  I encountered an issue with the engine which is about UPnP auto not working. after research on the site it seems it can be solve by port forwarding. Now i've searched on the net how to do it and i read the tutorial about this on forum and the basics about taking the right port.

For now i'm working on the gui and so i don't really need to do that now but i saw that events aren't working either (server down so normal thing). Is there a way to test events without server on ?

No. Why not just run the server locally?

Because i don't know how to do that

Just run the server.exe and then you can log into the client and editors. There is no need to port forward unless you want others to be able to join your game.

ok thanks for your answer, i'll do that for now and when i need it i will do what it takes to settle this.
