How Does Work the Update Server System?

Hi, this is my second ask here in the forum as novice

i want to understand more bout the server update system, 

How does it work? Every action and "save click" in my project will be send to server?

or have some archives to change?

I see some tutorials, but all of these are in english. 

I'm brazilian and searching in google i don't find that question.

And another last :

Have some possibility to put the server in some free patch software?
