Status Updates

How does one post Status Updates?  I found Status Updates and Status Replies in my Profile's Activity section, but I don't see where to actually post a Status Update.

It's usually located on the sidebar in a browser under a window called status updates just like Facebook just type and enter! If your on a mobile device chances are its towards the bottom.

I see the Status Updates window in the Sidebar, but I don't see where to type and submit a Status.  I'm on a Windows 8.1 laptop using latest version of Firefox.  Maybe it's because I am new to the Forums?  Maybe there is a prerequisite?

I found the solution.  You have to go to Account Settings > Overview > Edit Profile > Enable Status Updates.

On the side bar bottom box. Right underneath the blue header is a dark grey textbox with a dark grey text (Css will need to be fixed) Click the box type what you want and hit enter. If you start reading the recent status updates then you went to far in the box. See box image below. See where it says "What's on your mind?" Click there. If you don't see it,, might be a permissions issue in which you will have to post in the Suggestions & Reports forum linked here.
