Stat bonus range

Hello !

 

Simple question but couldn't find any answer : What is "Stat bonus range" on item pannel ?

 

I thought it was if the item had random bonus on his stats like if the item is 50 attack and the bonus range was 5, the item would have between 45 and 55 atk, but it doesn't seems to work like that.

 

Edit : After more testing, it seems to behave like that, but it's doesn't work on hp/mana. and it can apply to every other stats. Since it seems harcoded, i believe there is no other way than source edit to modify this ?
