I have, I followed exactly what they said.

I went to settings

Applications, pinholes, and dmz

Selected my computer

Set up a port

Put it in dmzplus mode

Saved

And still canyouseeme doesn't find it

I set the port as tcp from 110 to 110

I never lived in a house where port forwarding is possible. You might be in the same situation. Call your ISP

Dang, I figured it was something anyone could do

Yeah it's kinda screwy.

I use HostWinds to run my server its pretty cheap and if you're just developing with a friend it's pretty reliable.

I have had up to 30 concurrent on its cheapest option and theres no rubber banding or lag.

Edit:

Linux Servers are even cheaper. but I personally can't vouch for them though I haven't tried.
