I'm a pessimist, and I don't want to invest my time on Intersect either if they don't release open source for any hindrance: If jcsnider dies, is there anyone else to go on and release the source? Also, which language does Intersect work with? I'm going to start studying for when to open source. Thanks.

@panda and @Kibbelz are also developers of the engine with full access to the source. They would release the source and likely continue working on the engine in the event of my untimely demise. 

 

It's all coded in C#.

Pets will never be in the base engine. See the roadmap for what will be added before source.
