Weapon attack speed

I've been playing a bit with weapons, and couldn't find any parameters to change interval between attacks.

Is it possible ? Otherwise, it'll be tough balancing weapons (daggers w/ high speed, low dmg ; 1h sword medium speed medium dmg ; 2h long sword slow speed high dmg), or even creating different type of bows and crossbows.
